Flexible disc, also known as a floppy disk, is a magnetic storage medium that was widely used in the past to store and transfer data. The flexible disc consists of a thin, flexible magnetic coating encased in a square or rectangular plastic shell. The most common size for a flexible disc is 3.5 inches, although other sizes such as 5.25 inches were also used.
